I have blackheads on the edge of my upper and lower lips. How can I get rid of them?

I popped one before, and it became inflamed, like a pimple. It went away gradually but there is a bit of a scar.

I have mild black heads on my nose but I wear make-up so you can't see it. If you just want to cover them up, use concealer. If you want to get rid on them, try using scrubs as they will get in your pores -- but be patient! It will take at least two-four weeks to see any visible change. Blackheads are caused by the accumulation of dirt and oil and it can get pretty bad if you have big pores. Also, I have found that steam facials help, add a drop or two of tea tree oil and just relax, the steam opens your pores and the tea tree oil kills bacteria! This all has worked for me and I only get a few blackheads once in a while. But you have to keep up the treatment for at least six months!! BTW, do NOT pop pimples/whiteheads/blackheads as it will leave scarring, if you do have scars, try a mask designed for getting rid of masks but if you be patient, scars will fade in a couple of years. these are due to the lip products you are using, such as lip sticks or chap sticks, try using a different brand!.. if that doesnt help, always make sure you are keeping that area clean and dont pick, see if any of that helps
Try using a Biore face strip to pull them out.
