Best way to exfoliate for frownlines blackheads and open pores?

I would love to have a microdermabrasion done once a month but cannot afford it. So what is the best way to exfolaite at home, for frownlines (they have gotten bigger since my post about them) and blackheads in my nose and open pores in my forehead.Best way to exfoliate for frownlines blackheads and open pores?
Pores don't open and close, they don't have muscles attached to them so they can't do that.

For exfoliation, try St. Ive's apricot scrub. It works really well to get off dead skin.

For the blackheads and large pores, try applying whipped egg white to your face, leave it for 20 minutes, and rinse it off.

Oh, and you don't have to go to Sephora to get one, most drugstores have them for like $6.How do i get rid of blackheads and whiteheads on my nose?

pop them and wash face a lot and use mask
The best way is to extract them. For the best results, have a dermotologist do it. They have a really neat tool that sqeezes everything out, leaving no scars and nothing left inside.
laser
have you tried st. ives aporicot blackhead elminating scrub? works like a charm, give it try
Go visit a dermatologist. Find the cause for the blackheads and they can help you with a treatment.
Wash your skin at least 3 times a day and avoid greasy foods.
You should wash your face twice a day - everyday (morning and night) with a good deep pore cleanser and use a good mask 3 times a week. The best product that I know of is Glyco Essentials from Seriesse. You can find them at www.myseriesse.com/bhharris.

I hope you give it a try and let me know how it works for you!
You can use products from Mario Badescu and/or use a hot wet rag on your nose or steam it and pick and squeeze it out with a tweezer then.
k well this is how blackheads are formed, Our skin contains hundreds of tiny pores. Blackheads occur in partially blocked pores. When sebum, dead cells, and bacteria drain slowly to the surface of the skin, the pigments in the skin turn black on oxidization. This forms skin eruptions in the form blackheads.

They are therefore yellowish or blackish on the surface of your skin. The material inside a blackhead consists of keratin and sebum- which is the oily substance that comes out from sebaceous glands.

Causes of blackheads,

1.Lack of water in one's body.

2.Excess dead cells blocking the opening to the pore.

3.Excess production of facial oil.

4.Improper cleansing routine wherein the facial oil may not be getting removed.

5.Excess scrubbing of the skin.

6.Use of products/makeup that may contain too much of oil.

7.Medical problems like indigestion, constipation, under active thyroid and anemia are also considered as contributing factors to blackheads.

It is very difficult to keep your hands off the blackhead or blemish that may appear on your skin. You always consciously or unconsciously, tend to squeeze your blackheads. But contrary to the popular beliefs, the fact is, “gentle removal of your blackheads” can actually help in reducing and preventing any further damage to your skin. But, the golden question here is how to remove a blackhead...

1. Light squeezing: You can remove the stuff from inside a blackhead with light handed squeezing. Such a process can actually help the skin. Yes, squeezing is detrimental to the skin, but how you squeeze determines whether it harms the skin or benefits it. Gentle is the key word and you have to be careful not to over squeeze it.

2. Using products for exfoliating: You can use some low potency benzoyl peroxide exfoliating product for removing dead skin cells. It is very effective on the blackheads and is mild to your skin as well. In this way you can remove even the most stubborn blackheads. Also, microdermabrasion can be used to remove stubborn blackheads.

3.Topical retinoids: Topical retinoids such as Retin-A help in battling against the blackheads, successfully. It also removes and prevents the formation of the blackheads. It reduces oil secretion and unclogs the pores by promoting normal functioning of the cells. However, it is a long process.

4. Chemical peel

5. Diet/Food: You also need to alter your bad eating habits. You need to naturally reduce the oil production, initiate appropriate moisture for the skin and reduce acne. Drink lots of water and avoid oil food. Also, include lots of fresh vegetables and fruits in your diet. Cooked carbohydrates and fats are a big no no and use raw fats such as olive oil in your recipes.

umm i have to say my answer is like the best one ever... soo if you like it.. make me you 'best answer'. thanks, and GOOD LUCK! =]
pop them...
Conventional cleaning methods are quite enough. What reader needs is means to keep hands off and show another face to passer-by. Masking is best. Fabric is best both for its ability to endure automatic wash cycles and not being

hard to locate. Motorcycle catalogs offer masking styles.

Suggest any that wick away moisture and are a little loose

so skin creams stay on. Cultivate Gothic-look in clothing

or take up biking. Provide source for expensive masking

if reader wants X-Rated attire; don't gag just yet.
well there's a couple of answers to that question. you can go to a dermatologists and have them removed with a treatment or you can use facial products like clean %26amp; clear or proactiv (proactiv does work, i can assure you that)... hope it works
you should try to clean your face with only cold water
Use a product that contains a 1-2% salicylic acid it will help your pores let oil flow through them more easy preventing blackheads and helping clear the ones you have. Check out the drug stores and read the back of products and if you see salicylic acid listed that should help you. I like olay total effects anti-aging anti-blemish daily moisturizer. I myself have combination skin and battle both blackheads and acne. Products designed for acne are typically not effective on blackheads. Hope that helps!
your doctor/dermatologist can give you something make an appointment with them
wash your face with soap and warm water everymorning when you wake up and everynight before you go to bed.
mix baking soda in water to make a paste, and apply heavily to affected area. this should dry out your skin and stop you getting spots (blackheads, whiteheads)

repeat morning and night daily.

good luck!
I use baking soda made into a paste with water and then I add a few drops of tea tree essential oil. Then scrub the affected area for 2-3 min and rinse. You can also make a paste and then let the baking soda dry as a mask. (Helps with acne) Also make sure you have a good skincare regime and you are cleaning the affected area with blackheads 2x a day so it's clean.

Hope this helps!!!
you are using the stripes wrong. I did too.

1. Steam your face once a week for 3 to 4 minutes to open up the pores. Squeeze the blackheads out gently using cotton pads dipped in astringent or clean tissue. You may also use blackhead strips. If the blackheads strips are used directly without steaming, the size of the pores will increase every time they are used, causing more blackheads. To close the pores, rub an icecube made of rosewater on the pores.
Cleanse your face with unboiled milk, gently rub a coarse cloth dipped in milk to remove the blackheads. Steam your face with herbs like lavender, lemon peel and mint leaves added to the water and let the skin soak up its goodness. Check out http://useinfo-blackhead.blogspot.com/ for more useful tips to control blackheads.
Cleanse the face thoroughly with a good cleanser meant for oily skin. Preferrably use a salicylic acid cleanser.

Apply an astringent like witch hazel. It helps reduce oiliness. If its a bit harsh mix a bit of rose water in it.

Apply a good quality medicated cream or gel containing resorcinol, salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide. This helps is soaking the oil and helps in peeling away the blackheads. You can get creams or gels of Benzoyl Peroxide treating blackheads If benzoyl peroxide leaves your skin dry, apply an oil-free moisturizer after 10 mins of applying benzoyl peroxide.

Effective Tips to get rid of blackheads

•Exfoliate the blackhead prone area 3-4 times a week using facial exfoliators and scrubs.

•Use creams containing AHAs (Alpha Hydroxy Fruit acids) like glyco-creams that will clear away any dead skin cells and ';expose'; the blackhead. Use the AHA's every 3 days or so.

•Avoid washing the face with soaps more than twice a day. Instead wash your face often with plain water splashes.

•Often use a mask with a clay base.

If blackheads look ready to pop out, you could try removing them gently by using a blackhead extractor. Also, Pore cleanser strips (blackhead extractor) for removal of blackheads are highly recommended for the treatment/removal of blackheads. Using them once per week will leave your pores cleaner and smaller.

Steam your face to soften both the skin and the material blocking the pores.

  • Whats the best way to remove blackheads from my nose without the pore strips or cleaner?

Please dont say i have to buy something, there must be a way to remove my blackheads from my nose!Whats the best way to remove blackheads from my nose without the pore strips or cleaner?
Sticky tack (the stuff you use to stick posters to wall and such). I found this out one day while I was playing with some sticky tack while surfing the web. I didn't realize I had it stuck to my nose, when I pulled it away it took the blackheads with it. I went to the bathroom mirror and tried it around my whole nose and I haven't had a blackhead since. Kind of a weird solution but it works, trust me. All of my friends have tried it also with the same results. Hope this helps.

How do you get rid of blackheads?

I have a lot on my nose, and I have tried pore strips, and blackhead scrubs, but they don't really help that much. I need inexpensive and quick way to get rid of them. How do you get rid of blackheads?
Squeeeeeeze em' out, honey. How do you get rid of blackheads?
I know you said you tried pore strips, but have you tried B'iore pore strips for blackheads?

I use that and it works fantastic!
First of all, dont eat peanut butter or fattening sweets.

Trust my answer. I've had blackheads all my life, mostly on my nose. They don't turn into pimples, but they're unsightly if you get too close.

My solution is to turn on your sink to HOT until it starts steaming. Put your head near the steam and cover your head and the rest of the sink with a towel (this will keep the steam from escaping). Keep your face there for 5 minutes. Immediately after, use a facial scrub (any kind will do) to exfoliate the skin cells that you loosened with the steam. Then, with extremely clean hands, squeeze the blackheads out. Not too hard though. Don't damage the skin. Just make sure that your nails are clean too, to prevent infection. This is what I've done for years and nothing else works for me.

P.s: have you tried Biore nose strips or St ives scrub?

Also, this what my friends do

tried and tested method by most girls (well, most of the girls I know anyway! lol) ;)

Step 1 - Steam your face; If you have a facial steamer then great, if not pour hot water (not too hot) into a bowl and cover your head with a towel. Do this for about 10-15 Minutes, allowing the steam to open up your pores. In both cases, you may add a few drops of concentrated tea tree oil. It does wonders for the skin and is a natural antiseptic.

Step 2 - Use a Mud facial mask, or a similar mask wich tightens the skin and therefore draws out any impurities. Apply a good thick layer - especially around the nose, forehead and chin area, known as the T-Zone, which is usually the shiniest part of the face. Leave to dry. Then remove with damp cotton wool Balls. Splash your face with cold water to tighten the pores.

Alternatively, you may steam your face without applying a mask afterwards. This is very good for the skin and for clearing black heads.

one method, that is the safest and best:

go to a dermotoligist and set up a facial cleaning app.

its sanitary and safer than beauty centres,

they have the same concept as desert rose,, but better

the but that steamer on ur face for about half an hour than they clean ur face inch by inch using a special wand (painful process) but the doc will perscib anti biotics u put on as a cream and as a pill prior to the session

it clears up pores its so amazing, no more blackhead or those anoyying ';oil packets'; or whatever they call those

yes u may look like u have been stung by a million bees the day of and the day after, but then u will have the BEST skin ever!

all those other masks and stickers hardly do the job they only take out the head, but the doctor will take out the WHOLE thing the blackheads some are so looong and sooo deep walla they are scary; and beauty salons only do a 50/50 job since they dont have the time for a FULL 2:30 hour session which they will work soley on YOUR face u know what i mean? so go to a doctor, wayyyy better than doing it urself, it'll only get infected then inflamate and become a pimple

    Hope this Helps,

Try to ask god about that one?
Depending on where the blackheads are and how large they are, you can actually scratch or squeeze the dirt right out of them.
try using a cleanser with abrasives in it to help scrub out the clogged dirt and buy a comedone remover. It's an instrument used to help remove blackheads without putting to much stress on your skin.after washing use a toner to help desolve any oils and dirt that was left behind

also you might want to do this 2 to 3 times a day if you have a really bad case.
it would be much better if you consulted a dermatologist...

Thanks, yeah i do wash my face in the morning and at night just need something extra so thanks! Report Abuse

Just wash your face thrice a day. once in the morning, once when you come back from school, and once at night. try to also wash before you sleep, and after playing sports. blackheads are dirt that aren't able to escape the skin because of the oil. the oil acts like a cage for dirt, and also attracts it. so my suggestion would be to wash with a medical facewash like the Clearasil facewash or a Garnier facewash with peppermint or mint extracts to cleanse your pores. and also, remember that after using a zit cream, the cream doesn't disappear. wash of the residual cream....
I use the Biore face strips and a deep-cleaning cleanser morning and night. I add moisturizer to the dry areas and leave the oil-prone areas clear of any additional moisture.
I had the same problem, use clean and clear black scrub, wash face, rub on, and rise off, morning and night, every day for a week, you'll look amazing again in no time!
Soap, water, washcloth, rinse and repeat often!

Any product that you have tried to get rid of blackheads/white heads or any at home facials. How can I get rid of blackheads and large pores?
To take care of enlarged skin pores you need lemon juice and orange juice. Mix the juices and apply all over your face in upward and outward stokes. Wash it after 10 minutes. This is also a good facial mask for oily skin!!

Also when you get ready to apply makeup, rub a ice cube all over your face. Then clean and dry your face. Your face should now look and feel tighter, then when you apply your powder or foundation, it will look smoother.

You could also try putting Elmer's glue on your face to get rid of blackheads. Simply apply the glue to your face and peel off when dry! (it doesn't do anything to your skin trust me)

To care for oily skin you should start with a gentle, foaming facial wash. This will remove dirt and oil without stripping away moisture. Soak cotton wool in a gentle astringent lotion and sweep it over your skin to refresh and cool it. Even oily skin needs a moisturizer, but chose a light, watery fluid; this will be enough for your skin. Allow the moisturizer to sink in and then absorb the excess with a tissue to prevent shine.

AND YOU DONT HAVE TO WASTE A LOT OF MONEY AND IT REALLY WORKS :D

How do you get rid of blackheads?

I would really like to know the best way to get rid of blackheads. I would be okay with using both home remedies and commercial products (as long as the products aren't to expensive and work well). If you have any suggestions let me know.

If you are going to try to get rid of your blackheads on your own, squeezing them out on your own is not the best idea. There are a lot of bacteria beneath your nails and on the fingers, and so you could actually do more damage than good by touching or squeezing blackheads. To avoid permanent scarring, the best bet is to find an effective blackhead remover that will remove and prevent blackheads from forming. There are a lot of misconceptions about how to get rid of blackheads, the best way to get rid of blackheads is to get a good acne treatment and be consistent in using them.
Drink lots of water and try not to stress too much about it as stress if known to make acne worse. Also acne goes away pretty fast when you know how to get rid of body toxins. I used this method and has been acne free since then http://morereviewz.googlepages.com/acnef鈥?/a> You can try it if you like.

  • What is difference between whiteheads & blackheads plus other kinds?

Speaking of acnes, there are varies of acnes: whiteheads, blackheads, boils, plus the kind it swirls upward when squeeze (Im sorry it sound gross but whatever its called), some are sticky, putty-like or hard as a rock ... What are the results of these reactions? What is difference between whiteheads %26amp; blackheads plus other kinds?
Whiteheads ( milia) is a disorder of the oil glands caused by an accumulation of oil beneath the skin. Blackheads ( comedones) are worm-like masses of hardened sebum ( oil) created by excess oil secreted by the oil glands that fill up hair follicles which then creates a blockage at the mouth of the follicle. There are many types of skin disorders and several books that show colorful illustrations with definitions of the various types of skin problems. If you know someone in beauty school they would have a chapter called ';Skin and the Disorders of the Skin'; that would help answer some of your questions and give you a visual aid to determine the differences between the skin conditions. What is difference between whiteheads %26amp; blackheads plus other kinds?
    1) you shouldn't pop acne at all.

    2) blackheads are bacteria clogged pores that the tops of them have turned black due to oxygen.

    3) white heads are small zits that have the bacteria close to the surface of them that make the head of the zit appear to be white.

Like I said earlier you should pop or squeeze any of them. It may cause the spreading of bacteria and make you wind up with more zits. and it can make the zits appear larger and more noticeable. and worse yet if you continue to pop them you may have scarring. hope i helped.

Try an Obagi product called ';clear'; It'll dry everything right up. use it every morning after washing your face.

You can use an Obagi product face wash, also...

I was turned on to Obagi by a great dermatologist that I had, and it worked better than the Retin-A cream I had been using. be sure to get a quality face wash with salicylic acid.

The key to clear skin is keeping skin clean of sweat/oil/buildup, and getting a product that helps in exfoliating.
Acne can be embarrassing at the best of times. I would try going into a site called Epinions.com and find out what users are saying about various products. Good hygene which involves regular bathing helps a lot. Good internal health is a major contributor to healthy skin. Consider going to see a wholistic health professional, they have some great supplements. Try and stay away from the junk foods.

I use a small device called a zit zapper which is fast and I find very effective. Below is an article that I found that may be of interest, good luck!

Get a face scrub for your face and use it everyday when you take a bath or if you wear makeup when you take it off at night wash your face with it. There are exfoliate lotions out there that work good. The key is to not scrub your face hard, let the cleaner do the work rub it on your face with your hands and rinse it off with warm water. Oh and wet your face with warm water before. You want your pours to open so the cleanser will work well. rub it on your whole face for about 20 to 30 seconds and then rinse. It will get rid of the blackheads and will keep you from getting more if you do it everyday. The key is to not scrub your face hard, only use your hands, use warm water. You face will clear up in a few days or so and it should keep you from getting more. There are all kinds of blackhead face washes out there. Just go buy one and give it a try, just make sure not to get any in your eyes!! =)
Biore Clear Pore Strips work really well. Even though they are not ';natural'; many people still use them. They are like strips that you moisten and stick on your nose, chin, cheek bones, or forehead. Then you rip it off like you would if you waxed your eyebrows and it takes all the ';blackheads'; with it.
rubbing alchol is the best that i know of and clean skin. but be careful not to get it in your eyes.
    www.removeblackheads. com ww.blackheadremover. com
i use to have a lot on my nose and chin... i used strips once in while, which takes off a lot, but for those big ones, i suggest a facial once a month... and tell you estetician to really go at it. also, if you decide to take em off yourself, put your face in vapor (on top of hotttt water or in the shower) for at least 15 minutes, wash your face with warm water, because all this will open up your pores. then you can squeeze them out with two fingers wrapped in kleenex, and finish off by washing your face with cold water to close up your pores. finally, if you want, clean and clear has a product in a purple bottle that is called something like blackhead remover.... good luck! 10 points for me right? hehe :)
heyy... well theres this stuff called ';witch hazel';. ive been using that for a while on my face and its working. Its derived from an actual plant... i think its in pro activ..
for your face, try running the hot water in the sink for a couple of minutes untill it starts steaming, then drape a towel over your head, and put ur hear near the steam, hold it there for maybe 2 minutes, then once u finish, follow with whatever acne wash you use. the steam opens up your pores so you can get the dirt out easier... hope this helps
    First of all, what's with all the unnecessary ';quotation marks?';

Second, to get rid of blackheads on the face, use biore strips. For the body and face, exfoliate with a scrub, such as St. Ives Apricot Scrub...works for me!

You can also make a scrub at home with plain sugar and olive oil.

To prevent them keep your skin clean.

Wash your face twice day and night.

What could I do to get rid of my acne and blackheads before prom?

So my prom is at the end of June, and i want to minimize my acne and blackheads.

Is there anything I can do for cheap at home? What could I do to get rid of my acne and blackheads before prom?
lime and toothpaste will doWhat could I do to get rid of my acne and blackheads before prom?
I've been in that situation and there is really nothing you can do about it. There are things you can do to try to reduce the blemishes and get rid of acne/pimples temporarily but you will always be finding yourself cleaning your face or your body depending on where it's at.

I mean of course your acne should go away eventually but for some this is the case their whole life.

I'm 29 years old and have been suffering from these little pests since I was a teenager. I tried all sorts of face washes from the local grocery store and what not, but nothing seemed to work. If anything it would just make my skin dry and itchy.

Literally the best acne face wash I've ever used has been this stuff called clearpores. It has got rid of the acne to quickest and has been a success ever since I got it. It's unique cause of it's herbal supplement you take a long with it that helps your skin from the inside out. I saved money on it at skincleansingsystem.com at the time which was helpful.

You should really look into this stuff and if you can to assure the best results, get the 3 month supply because if it doesn't work it will still save you butt on the return policy.

Well good luck and best wishes.
The best way to get rid of acne is to first understand why acne appeared on the surface of our skin.

Acne is mainly due to skin sensitiveness. And this is related to allergic. This happened when the pores on our skin is blocked by whatever substance such as dirt.

That is why the number one action to get rid of acne will always be cleaning our skin like rinsing our faces regularly. And this has to be done correctly. That is using suitable facial cleanser, skin toner and skin moisturiser.

Try to use tea tree oil products. Find tea tree products from any pharmacy nearby. Not only has it helped to cure acne but also to clear off scars. It may take time to see the results. But what is important are patience and faith.

To successfully get rid of acne, it has to be combat from in and out. The above is only from out. And to take action on in is to take supplements that will help to cleanse the blood or to purify it. Just get some advice from any pharmacist on what is suitable for you. And you can also do this by consuming lots of vegetables.

With that anyone can solve acne problems.

    To your success!

  • Any way to clear up blackheads from my nose?

I've been using the St. Ives scrubs, Blackhead scrub, and even tried the tape that just rips them off. None of them work!

Is there any way to get rid of them? I had them since forever and I feel so self concious about them.Any way to clear up blackheads from my nose?
I have been using Biore products for over a year and I hardly ever break out! Occasionally I will get one or two, but nothing bad. I use Biore warming facial scrub every morning for blackheads (This stuff works. I notcied a DRASTIC diffrence in my blackeads being GONE within 2 weeks) . And then 3-4 day s a week I use Biore purging pore cream scrub. Give it a try. All of it is cheap too. About $5-10 depending on what you buy! I think you will just need to experiment with products until you find what works for you. Remember, it can take 1 month for products to fully begin working! Good Luck!Any way to clear up blackheads from my nose?
listen to me closely: go get a facial.

they are kind of expensive but u don't have to get a full facial, just ask for an extraction. i went and said ';could you please get these damn blackheads the hell off my nose?!?! please??'; and, *gasp* she did!!!! it's really the only way that works.
For hard situations, hard measures! fill the sink with red hot water, put a towel over your head, sit down and wait for the smokes about 10 minutes. this will open your pores. then exfoliate your nose but nice and gentle. then get a good light with a magnifying mirror, and squeeze it... i know it sounds gross but it can work wonders.. except the red nose for a couple of hours! good luck x
Get some Clean %26amp; Clear blackhead clearing scrub. It works. Trust me. It removed my black heads in like 5 days.

a pair of pointy tweezers and a 10X magnifying mirrior. Careful, and steady. Rub your skin in the direction, so they'll be easy to snatch up with the tweezers, and snag them outta there.

Steam your face for a good 10 minute or so. before you do it to draw them out for easier snaching.

oh, and lady rachel is right on with the acne free, its an awesome product at a decent price. Works for me too.

Exfoliation , and steaming your face either in a sauna , or just with hot water in a bowl then put a towel over your head , then after about 10/15 minz exfoliate or squeze them. But if you wear makeup make sure you always take the makeup off before you go to sleep as sleeping with your makeup on increases the amount of spots you will have .
It is cheapest, quickest, and easiest to get a perscription for Retin-A Micro from a dermatologist and get it filled. It works wonders:)

How to get rid o Blackheads and pimples?

I have blackheads and pimples, i am embarassed to go out in public cause i look so ugly any tips? How to get rid o Blackheads and pimples?
Bless you 鈥?every one goes through it鈥?br>

You need to buy a black head squeezer, you can buy this from The Body Shop or any major retailers.

If you are that worried about it, probably best to visit the doctor and get some advice 鈥?they may decide to put you on some medication which will clear it up.

Alternatively 鈥?get a tissue and ensure that you hands are washed and do not touch the blackhead (comedone) directly.

Press firmly at the edges of the spot and wiggle 鈥?this will loosen the sebum and the black centre will come out. You should never squeeze your spots and dig your nails into the skin 鈥?this is when people get scarring.

After 鈥?cleanse, tone and moisturize the skin.

You should be exfoliating once or twice weekly 鈥?this will help to get rid of the dead skin cells and make you skin appear more radiant.

Get your self some cleanser, toner and moisturizer , exfoliant. Go and see a skin care consultant (on the makeup / body care counters and they will be able to tell you what your skin type is and then buy the products that suit your skin type.

Hope this helpsHow to get rid o Blackheads and pimples?
Ok having a clean environment won't hurt, but sometimes acne is cause by other things so that and washing your face alone won't sure it all. And your insurance won't necessarily cover the dermatologist, however the dermatologist is the best bet for curing acne if you have the money if your insurance won't cover it. If you don't want to spend that much money then use something such as Proactive or the Clean and Clear Advantage acne system. They are the two that I have seen the most results with even though neither completely cured my acne because of the severity. And just a warning, when you start using acne medications your skin will get worse before it gets better because all the acne is being brought to the surface. But then it WILL get better. Good Luck!
You could go to a dermatologist, but whatever they'll prescribe you might work for a short amount of time, and stop working. (I went to one, and the things they prescribed me worked for a time, then stopped). One thing that has worked for me, going on 5 months now. .a 10% alpha hydroxy acid lotion from acne.org. Yep, you do have to buy it online, but it's the only thing that's worked for me, and that's after two rounds of accutane, and trying all the otc acne topicals. Another thing I'm going to try is an aspirin mask. .looks like it worked for a lot of people. You can buy a bottle of uncoated aspirin tablets at your local drugstore, take 3-4 pills and crush them up w/ a fork or spoon, then add just enough water to make a paste, then apply it to your breakouts. You might have to wait a week or so to see if it makes a difference.
If you have any sugar then you could mix the sugar with either honey or a tad with of water (honey is better)

and then rub that paced wherever the spots and black heads are then buy a face mask :D
You can try using clay masks as they help remove dirt from deep inside and clear your skin of impurities. More such solutions at http://solutionsforpimples.blogspot.com/
If you're really upset with the way you look, try going to a dermatologist. Your insurance probably covers it.
first of all my make sure your enviroment is clean make sure you change your sheets and wash your face regularly and be consistant about it
use oxy for men or something like that cos it has stuff like sand in it which kinda grinds the crap off

you're abusing scrubs coz 2-3 times are too much once 3 times a week is perfect +councling will be perfect
You have to use the best/ or recommended cleansing formula for your skin type. I had blackheads before too, I use ProActiv, and it cleared it. Also, there is a strip of sticky thing that you can stick onto ur nose for about 10 minutes, and then pull it out; and out comes the blackheads. I forgot what its called, try askin at walgreens
Only with a special treatment that you can do it in a salon. No other creams or solutions will work. Make an appoinment to a salon and after you will see the results. The treatment takes arround 2 -3 hours and you should do it 2/year.
My older sister whos a hair stylist lecture to me about this all the time. Buy a deep cleansing face wash, oil-free acne wash, and a Deep Cleansing pore strips.

    1) use the deep cleansing face wash daily, instead to wash it off instantly you keep it there til it dries then use a clean cloth to wipe it off your face (even though the directions dont tell u to do so) but this is for your pores to slightly open.

    2) after u wipe it off wet your nose and use the pore strips (follow the pore strips direction, only use once in every three days) this is for diminishing your black heads

    3) use the oil-free acne wash to keep your pores nice and small.

REPEAT step 1 and 3.. daily as in every night or morning. Then after 3 days go by, use steps 1,2, and 3.

your black heads wil diminish more and more, there is no actual way of killing all your black heads in 1 day, alriiiiight
Biore nose strips! Use like, 2-3 times per week.

What is the meaning of ';blackheads'; and how do you clean them when they collect on your face ?

What kind of treatment do you go in for?

What do you recommend? What is the meaning of ';blackheads'; and how do you clean them when they collect on your face ?
Get a good exfioliator! A good scrub will clean off the blackheads.

Blackheads are caused when sebum (the skin's natural oil) collects and hardens in the pores. The congesting toxins that are being expelled through your skin from the blood and lymph fluid combines with sebum creating a pasty glue. The exposed tip becomes oxidized and black, hence the name - blackheads . Oily and combination skins are most susceptible to these. The skin's most dense oil glands are located in T-zone. That is why there you get the most blackheads. What is the meaning of ';blackheads'; and how do you clean them when they collect on your face ?
I just read your profile, and you claim to be a model and yet you dont seem to know how to take care of your skin and ask here?

    Now that sounds odd.
i dont use chemicals.. leave warm wet towel on your face for 15 minutes or more then wash your face with mild soap....
'Blackheads' are caused when the natural oily secretions of your skin, which give your skin and hair its suppleness, collect and solidify in one of your skin's hair follicles. As this builds up, it reaches the surface of the skin and, on exposure to the air, turns black in appearance. This may be accompanied by a small swelling around the area.

This is generally due to the increased production of these oils during puberty, rather than any uncleanliness or poor diet, and reduces after your teens.

Good treatment involves using an exfoliating scrub and/or an acne cream which helps dry out the skin around the affected areas. This will also make it easier to remove prominent 'blackheads' by gently squeezing the surrounding skin, or by using a small tool available from pharmacies.

Removal strips, such as Bior茅, can be useful on prominent areas such as noses, but should only be used with caution on young skin, as frequent use can damage the skin structure.

Your local pharmacist can offer the best advice on what creams and similar products are most suitable for you yourself, as different products suit different people.
black heads are pockets of oil clogging your pores. You can use cleansers and and masks made special for that problem (we all have them) If it is a chronic problem I would suggest Pro active. Don't squeeze the blackhead out because that can cause scarring.
    Soap %26amp; water
I use rubbing alcohol on my chin, nose and forehead area before bed each night. You can squeeze them or use a needle to prick the surface and release the trapped oil, but you will have to scrub daily to keep them away

What are those one strips that you can use to remove blackheads?

I heard of them somewhere, but forgot the name. They are strips you can put on your face, and they take the blackheads out.

If anyone knows what they are, do they really work? What are those one strips that you can use to remove blackheads?
i think its biore and you cn find them in any grocery store. or walmart, so forth. anyways, what you do is put them on when you gt out of the shower.. i always thought that that worked better because your face was nice and clean and open for the black heads to come out. then you leave it on for the time alotted and peal them off. i have used them and they worked ok but, other people i have seen used them and worked great.. hmm hehe. goodluck

I would try Mona Vie acai complex drink and gel. I have heard a lot of great success stories by people recently with skin problems. I bought a case from this company %26gt;%26gt; vie4global.com and i saved a ton of money of the retail price. I think you should give it a shot.
Hello, I have something you can try, and I am basing my answer in the fact that it works for me.

Go to a health food store and get a small bottle of TEA TREE OIL. You can google it and get info on this.

The Australian natives use this to cure skin problems. Soak a cotton pad with it and rub. Tea tree oil dissolves the Sebum that causes blackheads. Be careful you don't get it close to your eyes, it is powerful stuff. afterwards wash with a gentle soap, because it has an odor...It may even prevent acne, since it kills germs also. I would try it a couple of times a week.
The worse thing about bleaheads, is overtreating them

They are formed, by dry exposed plugs of sebum in the skin glands that produce it..

In the teens age, its very common to see people trying to express them out, only to be filled time and again with oxydized, air exposed ';black'; sebum, and irritating the ';pressed out'; skin...

First, usde only Neutral soap for washing the face, and use a subtance or lotion called Propa Ph, available over the counter, in most drug stores.

Apply the lotion with a clean piece of cotton on the affected surface, avoiding the eyelids,,,,

Washing away the substance the next day with neutral soap.

It takes 2 - 3 weeks to give noticeable results, however, what is the hurry??

The lotion contains salicylic acid 2% plus sodium lauryl sulphate in a mild alcoholic solution.....

I am sure it will work

    Good luck---

How to get rid of blackheads on you chest?

I have a lot of blackheads and pimples on my chest, its really embarrassing. How can I get rid and make sure they stay away? I have scars from me picking at the blackheads. I wash my body with an acne wash everyday. Help! How to get rid of blackheads on you chest?
I had the same problem that you do. If you have acne on your face too, do you use anything on your face that helps. If so, apply that product to your chest too.

For example, I used benzoyl peroxide prescribed by my Md on my chest and it worked fine. You might want to use the 2.5 percent strength because its less irritating and more effective.

I can relate with the picking. I used to do it too. Apply the cream/lotion and you will have less urge to pick. Let the medicine work and you wont have to worry about it.

Hope it gets better. How to get rid of blackheads on you chest?
I have the same problem you're experiencing, and I hate it! The easiest way I have found to get rid of them is to go over the area with an Oxy pad, once in the morning, and once before bed. They usually go away for quite some time until I forget for a couple of days then have to do it again. If you see a dermatologist, tell him/her about it and see if there is another option for you.
Ask your doctor to prescribe Klaron. It is a lotion that contains an antibiotic. And stop picking!
Something must be clogging them up. Do you put powder, foundation or lotion on that area?

Best thing to do is after showering let ur skin dry and b.r.e.a.t.h. Then buy this 'blackhead' removal formula for your face. Put in on ur chest. It exfoliates the blackheads.

I think you might be sweating lots in that area cause blackheads to pop up. Try putting on some baby powder to stop the sweating. That may work.

u have to steam ur face. get hot boiling water in a large basin and put a towel over ur head as u put ur face above the steam. dont get too close, if u get too hot take a break and drink water. stay for about 10-15 minutes and when u come out ur pores will be really open and the blackheads will be easy to come off. u can push them out no with ur hands or a warm washcloth
Definitely get a facial, that the only way to really get them out, and to make sure to get some sort of good cleanser recommended by your dermatologist or the person doing the facial to make sure the blackheads dont come back too much. Basically, blackheads are oil that your face releases, and dirt from the air that combine together to clog your pores. So you need some sort of facial treatement to make your skin less oily. Even if your skin doesnt look like theres too much oil, if you have blackheads it means its there.

I know facials can be pricey, but trying to squeeze them out on your own isnt effective because

    1) You cant possibly get them all, there are more than 20,000 pores on your face!

    2) Some of the time, you wont be able to get the whole blackhead out with just your nails and the leftover stuff will begin to gather bactera and turn into a pimple with puss in it. Those can cause scarring later on, and you'll end up messing up your face.

To sum it all up: go get a facial, although it might be expensive - DEFINITELY WORTH IT!
    Professional facial.
Home remedies for removal of blackheads

Apply a paste made of ground radish seeds and water on affected areas, the effect is magical.

Mix glycerin soap, fuller's earth and almond powder in 2:1:4 ratio with boiled water to make a paste. Apply this paste on the blackheads.

Apply paste of fresh fenugreek leaves mixed with water on the face every night and wash off with warm water in the morning to prevent blackheads.

Apply paste of roasted and powdered pomegranate skin with fresh limejuice over blackheads.

Wet cotton in warm water mixed with Epsom salt and iodine. Dab them on blackheads to loosen them.

Use green tea as a face scrub to loose blackheads.

    Mash drumsticks pods and leaves.

Mix it with fresh limejuice and apply on the trouble spots.

Combine 录 cup of hot water with 1 tsp of Epsom salts and 4 drops of iodine. Mix well and let it cool until it is lukewarm.

Dip cotton ball in to the mixture and apply on the affected area. When the mixture dries, remove it gently with a washcloth.
well if they are blackheads..........they do sound like blackheads: i use to have a black and whitehead problem too....but now they're gone because of the products i use.:

where i live they sell these facial masks that deep clean your skin and effectively removes my blackheads and whiteheads, they are also very cheap. i also use a ';clean and clear daily pore cleanser';. it is especially made to fight and prevent even the most stubborn blackeheads (works on whiteheads too). i also use a clean and clear toner. and of course a myra e facial moisturizer which keeps my skin young healthy and moisturized. if you are young avoid using compact powder and blotting papers as much as possible. they are made for adults. now when i started doing this my skin cleared up...i hope yours will too.
you should use a pore minimizer, you can find mud masks and other clear cucumber masks that do this quite well. It's a natural occurance, everyone has them, but if they bother you start a skin regimine. Use the pore minimizing mask every two to three weeks, and use a toner after you wash your face daily. That should help.

I wouldn't advise squeezing them, you'll drive yourself nuts and you might cause scarring.
Maybe chicken skin. Fade them away using papaya kojic and licorice base soap and cream which are

    available online. These work wonders.

Maybe it will work on you too.

Try searching it through Google 'shopaholic's bargains'

How to get rid of blackheads with out drying my face out?

I have blackheads mainly aroung my nose, chin and jaw line. I have used products for it but it drys my face out and it dosent look good when I put my makeup on.How to get rid of blackheads with out drying my face out?
Use a facial steamer to steam your face for a few minutes. This helps you to open up facial pores, and expose the blackheads. Pat your face dry. Then, use a blackhead remover to remove blackheads. Place the hole of the remover over a blackhead, and gently press down. This will apply the pressure from underneath the blackhead, and pop it up. Then use an alcohol pad to clean it up to avoid infection. Avoid harsh squeezing or scraping at the blackhead. Excessive squeezing can damage the skin surround the pore and can actually increase the size of the pore, leading to more blackheads in the future. How to get rid of blackheads with out drying my face out?
Though the best way to remove blackheads is an area of contention, the most common method for getting rid of blackheads is to gently squeeze them. Removing the ';stuff'; inside of the blackhead helps the skin because you are relieving the pressure which causes the damage. We know it can be nearly impossible to leave a blemish alone so here are some tips for gentle blackhead removal:

Use a mild scrub or skin exfoliant to remove any dead cells and expose the blackhead.

    Pat your face dry.

Place a slightly warm compress on your face for approximately 10-15 minutes in order to soften the blackhead, making it easier to remove.

    Pat your face dry again.

Place a piece of tissue on the tip of each finger to avoid slipping, which could tear the skin and cause further damage.

Gently apply even pressure to both sides of the blackhead by pushing down, then up around the blemish. You're trying to apply the pressure from *underneath* the blackhead.

Only attempt this once or twice. If it does not ';pop';, you may bruise the skin, make the blackhead worse, and could cause scarring.
proactive is scam, it just made my acne worse and my skin dry so I wouldn't recommend you to use it. Instead drink a lot of water. also I'm using a cheap remedy which is helping me a lot to remove my face severe acne. I found it from this blog: http://finallyigotridofacne.wordpress.co鈥?/a>

A good way to get rid of acne is to treat it!

Do NOT try squeezing trapped dirt and oil inside your pores which create the blackheads and pimples, because that will only make you skin break-out even more!

If the over-the-counter cream/gel treatments don't work on your skin, I strongly recommend for you to go either see a dermatologist or doctor. They will examine your skin and the areas where you have acne, and prescribe a medicine cream/gel for you.

    I got prescribed DIFFERIN.

    http://www.differin.com/

I guess different creams work on different people - some find other creams better than others - but I really think you should give it a try. I am currently using DIFFERIN and it really does help and do what it says about treating my acne.

Let me just warn you if you do start using DIFFERIN, stick to it and use it for at least 3 months. At first, it will almost seem like your skin is getting worse before it gets better, but that means the treatment is working! Be patient...

ALSO, do NOT use any acne cleansers or creams which contain Benzoyl Peroxide in it. Although there are people who have found Benzoyl Peroxide to be very affective on treating acne, but most don't. The peroxide is a very active substance which fights acne but can sometimes cause more damage while treating the acne. It is VERY HARSH on your skin and if you have dry skin, I strongly advise you not to go anywhere near it!

You might have also heard about Proactiv. Well that also contains Benzoyl Peroxide in it. Most people find that after using and starting on Proactiv, their face becomes so dry and red... Don't get too tempted to try because once you start using the product, the only way to keep the acne off is to use it EVERYDAY FOREVER. If you skip a day and don't use it, then your skin breaks-out like crazy!

This happened to a friend so PLEASE no matter what you do -

    DO NOT USE PROACTIV!!!

    GoodLuck =D

P.S. The websites I left for you, please just ignore the fact it's a PROACTIV site but read the info on it. It really does have good facts of how to prevent acne, and how acne happens...

I use the benzil peroxide pads. They work very well.
yes i heard pro active is good to maybe if u look it up on the net you may find others that be newer ok m but you still have to get at the root cause of this too friend .. DIET, u are eating foods that cause this reaction fried foods are a main cause ,, your body is going through changes and fried foods contains oil s your body cant get rid of easily.. sugars too clog the pores that too is a teen speciality and women especially chocolates .. my my my!!

folks u cant eat whatever u like without toxins being storedin your body and then conter reactions to these cause acne and boils and other symptoms too ..

many try to rid their body of the symtoms effects -- but not getting at the root of the problem .. try to discover what is causing the sympton and eliminate it at its root , u cant kill a weed by chopping off its head @@ brother murray
I like Clean %26amp; Clear Blackhead Clearing cleanser. Also get a professional facial once a month.
idk.. I just rince my face every day with water
you should only wash your face twice at most. i really like Murad acne care.

but you might want to think about using only warm, not hot or cold water when washing and rinsing. and washing your bed sheets at least once a week if not twice. also try taking a multi vitamin daily, and drink a ton of water.
You are washing your face too much for a start.

Twice a day is enough. Anymore and your skin will react badly to re-adjust the natural oils.

Try using a diluted solution of tea tree oil on your face.
    Hot compresses will help.
Rub alcohol all over your face twice a day.
You are washing your face WAY TOO MUCH! No wonder it's oily. Slow down. Two or three times a day is plenty. I would recommend Proactiv over any prescription acne meds., they are usually too drying and they make your skin worse at first. Please try Proactiv, you will be pleasantly surprised. You may still be able to use it with what your Dr. prescribed. My biggest advice though it too slow down on all that washing and scrubbing! You can actually aggreviate your skin and that can trigger acne!
hunny, that will not work until u get a facial and extract them out then u use it. Its all part of the stupid suckish PUBERTY no1 likes it, its a horrible part of life, especialy teen years, like me im 17 and and just i realised that my face is clearing up becuase in 2 months prego wit my ex but now hes not. HORMONES SUCK!!!!AND EVERY1 KNOWS IT!!! trust me i am a pampered little ***** and i know everything there is about hygine.

Does clearasil work well for getting rid of blemishes and blackheads?

If not, what does?Does clearasil work well for getting rid of blemishes and blackheads?
it works if you have a huge big red pimple that u want to get rid of. the pimple will actually reduce in redness and siz in one day and it could take a max of 5 days to get rid of it. (but usually only 3 days)

it doesnt really help with blackheads - i don't think anything helps with them- they just go away sooner or laterDoes clearasil work well for getting rid of blemishes and blackheads?
Clearasil is simply an astringent that dries up blemishes. It is true that different people will have a different reaction to the different medications on the market today. The one that I found to have the best results and works the quickest is the Acne cream bought at Avon. You might want to give it a try!
Clearasil does contain a lot of alcohol, so if you're skin is sensitive, it is better to use their On the Spot acne and blemish treatment. It goes on clear and you can apply makeup over it. I have used it when I get the occasional zit and it dries up in two or three days. You should try Neutrogena, I've used it for years. Nowadays, I hardly get any zits. Good luck!
i have tried it more than once but it didn't really help.actually some blemishes i had got worse.but then i went to a dermatologist and he proposed a really good therapy and now i have no spots or blemishes at all.you should do the same.do not act on your own or it will get worse.you'd better go see a doctor who is an expert.
oh! i love clearasil! i use their oil-control stuff and i love it....

try the stay clear treatment pads...they are really good for fighting acne, when i don't use this i get serious acne, when i do use this? my skin is amazing and oil-free!

but i also like neutrogena's 8-hour treatment pads as well.
I used it and it dried my skin but did not help but everyone has a different reaction to certain products so maybe it will work idk

Biore Pore Strips are amazing. Not only do the work after you have pulled the strip off you can marvel at the little spikes of dirt and grease that were once embedded in your pores. They stand up like mini stalagmites on the strip. No Really you will get so excited about it you will forget all about how great it is that it has removed the black heads. Also between the fun biore strip treatments you can wash with Noxema. How can I remove blackheads fast and effectively?
Never squeeze. If you can go to a dermatologist they can show you how with this tool you can get at any drugstore. I love Neutrogina acne scrub.. doesn't dry. I use all Neutrogina as recommended by my dermatologist.
Exfoliate everyday, cleanse, tonse and moisturize x
Warm your face by using a hot flannel then using CLEAN fingernails, pop them out. Cleanse and tone afterwards.

Those are probably large pores. I would recomend that you keep your skin clean and moisturized daily. I like to use Clinique's 3 step facial cleansing system. It keeps my skin healthy and soft. How is the best way to remove and prevent the blackheads on my nose?
blackheads are pores clogged with oil from your skin. The ';black'; color is from the dirt that gets stuck on the oil. Use an exfoliating face wash and acne cream to prevent them. There are some peel-off strips you can buy for blackheads - I forget the brand name - but they work too
You can buy these face steamer things... My g/f has one...

If you don't wanna spend the money on one of them, get some peppermint oil (essential oil) boil some water, and put it in a large bowl.

Put 2/3 drops of the oil in, and put your head over the bowl with towl covering you.

Steam ya face for as long as ya can, about ten minutes... this will soften your skin and then go to mirror and get squeezing!

    Enjoy... :)
    go do a facial often....

if u don wanna go to parlour....

use a fruit scrub and clean ur face often and apply honey on the face....

then also use a face pack at home....
Those are blackheads all right. They don't ooze anything black. They ooze fat sadly. To prevent that just wash your face everyday, morning and night plus get rid of those little black dots. Keep on squeezing. then again scars could occur but after squeezing them out apply some alchohol to prevent infection and later on scars.
squeeze them, and wash your face twice a day!
Well you can use biore strips to remove the ones you currently have. Then just practice consistant face washing and you should be fine.
The best way to get rid of them would be to exfoliate that area first and then use astringent. You could also use biore nose pore strips to get rid of them quicker but exfoliate too to prevent the oil from staying there later on.
Take a cotton ball and dip it in some alcohol and rub you'll see the dirt. It will kill germs and dry out the oil on your nose that makes the blackheads. I started doing it in high school cuz I had a bad problem it worked and so I still do
Nothing but cleaning your face. Don't over do the nose pinching it will cause scars later in life.
Witch hazel is an inexpensive and natural astringent that you could try. Any grocery or drug store should have it. Clean you face as usual, at least once per day, dry, and apply by cosmetic puff or disc to your face, neck, behind ears. Dry and apply a nice moisturizer recommended for your skin type.
