What can I use to get rid of blackheads for good?

I have blackheads on my chin and around nose. They are only noticable up close but I'm so fed up of them. Can anybody tell me a way or a product that will remove them? What can I use to get rid of blackheads for good?
It's good that you're already using St Ives' scrub; this buffs away dead skin cells and dull buildup that usually lead to blackheads. What you should apply after exfoliating your face is an ultralight, fast-absorbing acne lotion with pharmaceutical-grade Benzoyl Peroxide to clear acne-causing bacteria.

You see, acne forms when pores become clogged with sebum, dead skin cells and bacteria. If the clog occurs below the skin surface, this creates a “whitehead.” If the clog reaches the surface, a “blackhead” forms (the black is not actually dirt; it's bacteria which darkens when exposed to oxygen).

So, it is very important to keep you skin clean and protected with an acne therapy lotion. What can I use to get rid of blackheads for good?
i have the same problem and its so annoying! i know how you feel. Some one suggested to me to go for a facial at a spa/salon, one where they remove the blackheads for you. then after keep up a routine of using nose pore strips..i use T-Zone ones. Bit pricey for the amount you get but only use them once every week or less. Also a scrub is supposed to help, will remove dead skin cells to prevent pore blockage, if you dont have sensitive skin its a good idea to use a scrub every 2 or 3 days. Try using make up that says on the packaging it is non comedogenic. Which means does not block pores. Nivea visage young stay clear purifying toner is another product which is non comedogenic and will tighten your pores and help keep skin clear.
You'll never really get rid of them, but exfoliating regularly will help. Also, buy special products for blackheads. They are out there. Try St. Ives Apricot Exfoliator - I have the same problem and it works! I switch every other day with that and with Neutrogena face wash. Also, use a moisturizer without oil so your blackheads don't get clogged but your skin stays moisturized.
A BIG thing ive noticed is that ive almost always slept on my side or my stomach, placing your face on a dirty blanket or pillow case can cause pimples, ive trired to avoid sleeping on my face lately and its helped ALOT. i dont have acne but i think its mostly blackheads that turn into pimples, i have kind of oily skin, so at least this has helped alot. also try clean and clear blackhead clearing scrub, ive been using it 2 days and i see a difference.
i have this bottle of stuff that works BAD! :)

hang on ill go get it !

so its Clearasil -blackhead control-

with natural sea salt.

How does it work :

the exfoliating microbead formula deep cleanses skin to remove black head and pimple causing dirt, oil, bacteria and dead skin cells, with the moisturising skin conditioners help prevent over-drying.

it seriously makes my skin feel great!

and its only $10.00 from coles :)

Good luck:D
Put a small bit of toothpaste on the blackheads. This will help to reduce any swelling from the blackheads and dry out the oil in them. Make sure to use an actual toothpaste and not a gel.
I have the same problem.....Try putting warm honey on your face and leave it on there for 10 mins. than wash it off with lukewarm water or if you mix equal parts of baking soda and water it helps remove some blackheads close to the surface...hope this helps!
How i got rid of alot of mine was getting a facial at a spa! it was awesome! felt kinda weird... but they take out the blackheads and clean up your face real nice! Sometimes you get a free wax too!
the best is to change your diet.skin problems come from the inside!!

less fat and more vegetables,

your skin will thank you, believe me

good luck
